Special Programs
  1. EOPS/CARE/CalWORKs/b2b is a state program that provides counseling, additional financial support, case management, and resources for those who qualify. Find out more information and application procedures by visiting their website.
  2. Puente at 91¿´Æ¬Íø is a statewide program with a Latinx-centered focus offering ENGL 1A, ENGL 5, and counseling courses. It’s located in Eagle Village, R5. Click here to visit their website or email Laura Gomez Contreras at lgomezcontreras@peralta.edu to enroll.
  3. Umoja-UBAKA Program is an African-American-centered learning community for ALL students who want to improve their skills in English (ENGL 1AS and 5) and Math (MATH 13 + 213). The village space is located in Eagle Village, Building R3, next to Building E, across from the 91¿´Æ¬Íø Parking Lot. Visit their website for more info and to enroll.
  4. APASS is an Asian-Pacific American Student Success program that works to support students in English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses. Visit /apass for more information.
  5. Gateway to College is an alternative high school program for students ages 16-20 who have dropped out of high school or are behind in credits and wish to start college early to pursue their high school diploma and college goals. Visit /gateway.
  6. Restoring Our Communities is a supportive learning community for formerly incarcerated students. They are located in E-201. Visit their website here.
Study Skill Resources
  1. is an amazing online resource where you can learn ANYTHING from the beginner's level, freshen up on old skills, or take your previous knowledge to advanced levels. We refer students to this site to prepare to review for their English and Math assessments.
  2. Counseling courses at 91¿´Æ¬Íø focus on learning how to navigate the college environment, access resources, and improve study skills. Courses include College Success (COUN 24), Personal Growth and Development (COUN 30), Career and Life Planning (COUN 57), College Preparedness (COUN 224), and Orientation to College (COUN 201).   3. The Math Lab is located in Building G, Room 201, and provides drop-in tutoring for all math levels. Check location for hours and services.
  4. The Tutoring Resource Center is in A-105 and is increasing its subjects each semester. Visit their website for services at this location and throughout the 91¿´Æ¬Íø Campus
